A Little Background on the War Destroyed and killed more property and people than any other war in history. There was a combined death toll of around fifty to sixty million people The war brought a downfall to Western Europe powers including Germany Sixty years ago, the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The nuclear age had truly begun

The Atomic Bomb Research began in Germany in the late 1930’s Two physicists found that energy is released in great amounts in a process called fission Defined as an explosive device that releases nuclear energy Technology showed an advancement. Instead of rapid burning or decomposition, the atomic bomb split an atom, in a process called fission.
