Student Success Plan

Developing the “Methacton” approach to career education, by evaluating and formalizing all of the good things we’re already doing. Making the discovery of a career and education path an integral part of school – beginning in grade seven. Providing parents with data and insight to help them help their students – before senior year.

Every student will graduate from high school having developed a Student Success Plan that is grounded in at least tentative career choices that have a high probability for success. This plan is designed to increase postsecondary success rates by assisting students and their parents in making better decisions for their future based on a though-out career direction, created from a combination of self-assessments around interest and personality inventories, coursework, and practical experience in either volunteer, apprenticeships, or actual work experience. Students will create an electronic portfolio and their own Success Plan that will culminate in a presentation in the spring of senior year.
