Kindernews Mrs. Walk – January 17-20 Math Peek-at-the-Week Sight Word Reader- What is it? Sight Words – is, they Word Family – -ip Science – This week we will be talking about polar bears and walruses. We will continue to talk about the features of a nonfiction book while discussing facts about these animals. We will also compare these animals using a Venn diagram. We will use what we learn in science to make a nonfiction book about polar bears during writing class.   WEDNESDAY is library day! This week in math we will continue talking about 3D shapes. We will also investigate combinations of numbers as we arrange tiles and explore different ways a set of two-color counters can land!   Author Study This week we will continue our author study by Jan Brett.
