Hippie-flower children. Nikatova Alexandra.

Hippie- the philosophy and subculture, originally emerged in the 1960 s in the United States.

They promoted the desire to return to the natural purity through love and pacifism. One of the most famous slogans of a hippie: «Make love, not war!»

Hippies believe: that people should be free; that they can achieve freedom, only by changing the internal structure of the soul; that man's actions are determined by the desire to preserve their freedom as the greatest treasure; that the beauty and freedom are identical and that the implementation of both - a spiritual problem; that all who share the above, form a spiritual community; that spiritual community - an ideal form of a hostel; that all who think otherwise are wrong.

Basis hippie style: For the hippie it is characterized using of loose clothing of flower colors and lots of accessories, necklaces, woven from threads and beads, bracelets ("fenechek"), etc., as well as clothes dyed in the technique of "tai-dai" (or, "shibori").

Hippies and politics. Hippie is apolitical. Living outside "of civilized" society, in a world based on love, friendship and mutual assistance, hippies prefer to change the world with their creativity, including creative social. Many Soviet hippies were dissatisfied with the communist regime and its ideology, while others simply wanted to live outside the political system.
