Introduction to the case Name He, Wei-Hung Professor Ker-Kong Chen University Kaohsiung Medical University Foto Introduction to the case . In this case (female, 60y/o), patient asked for improve the anterior aesthetic as soon as possible. With limited budget and time, she chose composite resin direct filling. All procedures finish in one appointment Before After Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 old improper CRF with marginal leakage putting on mock-up resin with plastic matrix, tooth surface did not acid etch yet removing old filling material and stain on tooth surface directly putting on CeramX resin on tooth surface and light curing for color comparison, M2+, M3+, M4+ Step 5 Step 6 Step 7 Step 8 finishing and polishing comparison with the lip line, final assessment and adjustment mock-up removal, CeramX resin filling according to the mock-up on neighboring surface adjusting the outline form of mock-up, assessing space distribution and midline inclination Material and method Method: 1, old filling material and the stain removal, no further preparation on teeth 2, color comparison with light cured CeramX resin 3, mock-up application for assessing space distribution 4, remove mock-up and change to bonded resin one by one 5, the contact outline of CRF uses the mock-up on neighboring surface as a reference Material: Filling material CeramX Mono+ (syringe starter kit) Adhesive Prime&Bond NT Resin forming plastic matrix Finishing Enhance and Pogo finishing point, fine diamond bur aluminum oxide finishing strip . Discussion and conclusion Discussion : Other inter-proximal area in this case, papilla do not fully filling in. Fully closing the inter-proximal dark triangle would become disharmony. Different from a Class 4 cavity, an opaque layer in diastema closure is not always necessary. Using CeramX Mono+ without an opaque layer in diastema closure is enough to achieve anterior aesthetic.Mock-up and wax up are very useful when building anterior aesthetic, combining mock-up method and direct composite resin filling can save a lot of clinical time. Conclusion: Using CeramX Mono+ in a diastema closure case can achieve acceptable esthetic outcome.
