Connotation/Denotation Mini-Lesson Choose TWO (2) words that have multiple meanings. One meaning should be a clearly defined DICTIONARY meaning. The other meaning should be something more slang/colloquial/or otherwise left to interpretation

Connotation/Denotation Mini-Lesson For each word: Give all possible meanings of the word. Start with the DENOTATION or DICTIONARY meanings of the word. Give at least one example using each of the dictionary meanings.

Connotation/Denotation Mini-Lesson Then, give all of the possible CONNOTATIVE meanings of the word, or the associated or emotional meanings of the word. Be sure to give at least one example for each connotative meaning.

Connotation/Denotation Mini-Lesson You will be expected to report on 2 classmates’ mini-lessons, so pay attention. Your journal response should be about a page in length, and it should address the effectiveness of each lesson as well as what you learned about the word(s) presented.
