Sponsoring a month of recreational outings for the homeless children in both Key West locations of the Florida Keys Children’s Shelter. The goal is to give the kids some enjoyment to provide a short break from the harsh reality of their situations.  Key West outings may include: dinner and a movie, water sports, or boat rides , while day trip outings to Miami may include: Go-Karts, Seaquarium, or Planetarium trips. Outings will be decided upon by the house parents. Since 1985, the Florida Keys Children’s Shelter has helped abused, neglected or abandoned children and their families. Through their extensive programs—both residential and non-residential—they have helped and counseled thousands of children and families in their time of need.
