BEIJING Sept. 28 -- The Shenzhou-7 space module carrying three astronauts landed safely by parachute Sunday afternoon in China's northern grassland, after a landmark spacewalk mission that leads the country further in its space exploration. Astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming, and Jing Haipeng came back from a 68-hour flight, which included a 20-minute spacewalk on Saturday.

"It was a glorious mission, full of challenges but the result is perfect. I'm proud of my country," said Zhai Zhigang, sitting on a chair after emerging from the module.

4:40p. m. Beijing time, Saturday afternoon 4:40p.m. Beijing time,  Saturday afternoon. It is a great time for Chinese people when Zhai Zhigang pulled himself out of the orbital module, latched himself to a handrail with two safety cords and then waved to a national audience during a live broadcast of the country's third space mission with an astronaut. The feat was part of our effort to establish a space station by 2020 and eventually to land on the moon.

After pulling himself fully out of the orbital module and tethering himself to the safety cords, Mr. Zhai waved a small Chinese flag, to the cheers of technicians in the central command center in Being, to the cheers of spectators in font of the television, and of all Chinese people around the world.

At that time, you can't help yourself crying with excitement At that time, you can't help yourself crying with excitement. This achievement is not only a big step in our nation’s scientific technology, but also anther step toward establishing the country as an economic and technological superpower.

Though we have suffered great pains from the violence in Tibet, the 8.0 magnitude earthquake in Si Chuan province, and recently the San Lu contaminated milk powder scandal, all the sorrow washed down with the success of Olympics and Shenzhou VII mission. Considering all these achievements, we should not lose our confidence in our country’ future. We will continue to support nation’s industries, starting by drinking milk made in China.

Late Sunday afternoon,if you saw a star crossing the sky, that must be our Shenzhou VII. Our three heroes returned safely to earth in their space capsule after spending nearly three days in low orbit and completing our nation’s first spacewalk. The re-entry capsule of the Shenzhou VII spacecraft floated down by parachute and landed on the grasslands of north China at 5:37 p.m. Beijing time.

It was amazing that Zhai Zhigang was in relatively healthy condition that he came out of the cramped round capsule nearly all by himself. “It was a glorious mission,” said him, ”full of challenges, but the result is perfect.”

The Shenzhou VII manned spaceship, the Long-March II-F rocket and the escape tower were vertically transferred to the launch pad at 3:15 pm on Sept.20,2008, marking the final state of the preparation.
