Who must be certified? Member companies must ensure that all relevant personnel (especially customer-facing staff) are certified in the sector where they work. Non-members e.g healthcare practitioners (HCPs), events’ organisers, training companies, advertising companies, are given the opportunity to register, pay on-line and do the assessment. How do I certify? The compliance officer is tasked to register a staff member on the website. A member will use their username, password, unique code & follow the instructions that are sent to them from the website, to order to access the assessment. Good luck with completing the assessment! Why should you certify? Competence in the sector where they work and hence Code compliance. Assist with the ethical dilemmas often encountered in the field. Complaint - the parties concerned will be asked for a valid certificate. All member companies deadline for certification is before 31st March 2014. Test information 20 randomised questions. Closed book test. Sector specific i.e. pharmaceuticals or medical devices, so you must check with your Company Compliance Officer, that you do the correct test/s. 3 attempts to pass the test, after which you will be locked out for 5 working days. What is the pass mark and how will I know if I have passed? 80% and you will be advised immediately of your score on completion of the test. A certificate will be generated for you to print / keep on record with the Company Compliance Officer. The certificate is valid for 2 years, provided there are no significant changes to the Code, Guidelines or relevant legislation.
