Customer feedback General customer feedback suggests that the phone is all round liked and performs very well. However there are mixed feeling about the solar panel, mainly the performance. In some cases it has been reported that it takes more than 5 hours of charging to gain 1 bar of power from the solar panels.

Feedback pt2 Many customer have reported a faint crackling sound during phone calls. Also there have been many reports about the touch screen often needing more than one tap when trying to register a finger press.

Quality Although the phone is of innovative genius it seems that the eco design of this product has had some adverse effects on its quality, one customer said this; ” i also experience other issues like the sensitivity of the screen or the very low efficacy of the solar panels but this seems to be - unfortunately- the quality of the phone.”

Other products There are external solar power charge kits available on the market today but are they worth the money? These recharge modules are about the size of a mouse mat and connect to most devices. Cheap charger kit is around £20 but are only ‘trickle chargers’, an ‘efficient’ charger I upwards of £100, but take 24h to charge a phone.

Development Samsung were cautious when developing this phone as they were unsure about how well it would take to the current market. As a result the cost of production and development was easily met by the sales revenue of this phone. Samsung are now working on their next environmentally friendly phone.
