Poll taken shows Trump trails Clinton

As will be the case up until November, another survey has come out giving a sense as to how the election may unfold and who will become the next President of the United States. A Fox News survey published Wednesday shows Clinton winning 41% of the vote to Trump's 39%, with third-party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein earning 9% and 4% respectively. That poll shows a tighter race than other recent national polls. Two other polls released this week -- by Monmouth and Quinnipiac Universities -- showed Clinton with 7-point leads. The Fox poll surveyed 1,011 registered voters.

In Other News Tropical Storm Hermine will likely strengthen into a hurricane by the time it makes landfall. The storm, currently in the Gulf of Mexico, is projected to make landfall in Florida. If it becomes a hurricane, it would be the first to hit the state since Wilma in 2005. The center of the storm is expected to be near the Florida coast by early Friday. Donald Trump vowed Wednesday "there will be no amnesty." In his highly anticipated speech in Phoenix, Trump embraced a hardline conservative position – discussing his view on immigration, rallying the Republican base and defending his signature proposal: a wall on the US-Mexico border. According to a small study published in the journal Science on Tuesday, dogs use the left hemisphere of the brain to process words, similar to humans. The study also suggests that dogs use a right hemisphere brain region to process intonation independently of words, which means they may separate what you say from how you say it. The study involved 13 dogs -- golden retrievers, border collies, a German shepherd and a Chinese crested.
