L MENU M NOTES Well, pronouns need to match the verbs too, but pronouns can be tricky because some are a certain kind called indefinite pronouns. That means sometimes it’s not definite, or clear, what noun they’re replacing. Singular vs. Plural

When these are next to a prepositional phrase, you must look inside the phrase to match the verb with the object of the preposition.
