Going through the time… Just 5 months ago

We were talking about the cell…

Chromosomes(Euk) or nucleoids(prok)… what do you know? They have the genetic Information DNA

Yes? Did you remember? Did you remember the prokaryotes?

The prokaryotes undergo a type of asexual reproduction called: binary fission.

Type of reproduction in which a new organism is produced from ONE parent and the offspring is identical to the parent.

Binary fission

Again… did you get it?

Could you add some titles or descriptions?

And write a little description 2 Match them 3 1 4 And write a little description

Archaea, bacteria, and protists reproduce asexually by binary fission.

Budding Another type of asexual reproduction is called budding. Budding is when a new organism, or the offspring, grows off the side of the adult through a part called a bud.

The new baby will stay attached to the original adult until it reaches maturity at which point they break off and become its own independent organism.

A single adult can have many buds and many offspring at the same time.

Both unicellular organisms, like yeast, and multicellular organisms, like hydra, can undergo budding. Again, the offspring are clones of the parent unless some sort of mutation happens during the copying of the DNA or cell reproduction.

Budding is characteristic of a few unicellular organisms (e. g Budding is characteristic of a few unicellular organisms (e.g., certain bacteria, yeasts, and protozoans); however, a number of metazoan animals (e.g., certain cnidarian species) regularly reproduce by budding

So let´s see..if it´s clear!! The parent cell or body gives out a lateral outgrowth called the bud.

So let´s see..if it´s clear!!  The nucleus divides and one of the daughter nuclei passes into the daughter cell.

So let´s see..if it´s clear!! The bud grows in size while being attached to the parent body. It then gets separated from the parent by the formation of a wall.

So let´s see..if it´s clear!! It then falls off and germinates into a new individual. Thus budding results in the formation of daughter cells of unequal sizes that later grow to adult size.

They reproduce in 4 steps… Now draw them and write a little description.
