Narrative conventions: conflict Most narratives are based around conflicts. This is a convention. The conflicts can be the internal conflicts faced by the characters, or external conflicts. These external conflicts can be between individuals, between groups, between countries, or between different social issues. Often the conflict is framed around good v evil

Good v evil When we go deeper we also see a conflict between what is real and what is not real, between the matrix world and the real world
