Some believe in the advantages of wearing school uniforms. Firstly, wearing uniforms can cultivate collective spirit, which is typical of Japanese students. Secondly, schools can be kept in good order with
students wearing uniforms since the outsiders will be recognized immediately. Besides, wearing school uniforms can help students develop simple life habits. However, others don’t think so. Passage I I think young people should be allowed to choose what they wear at school. All students have the right to feel comfortable in their own clothes. Most students think that they look stupid in their uniform and sometimes it is hard to find the right sizes. Also, some students only have one pair of shorts or pants, so if they get dirty they have to wear a dirty uniform the next day.
Passage II I want to make myself smart. I believe everyone tries to look smart. However, we have to wear uniforms because we are students. Teachers always say uniforms can make students feel proud of their school. Although I don’t like wearing uniforms, I have to because I think it reminds students of the value and history of their school and builds a common spirit of unity among students. We just hope the school can improve the quality of the school uniforms. Then if we all look smart, we will concentrate more on our studies.
Passage III At present, we have to wear uniforms at school. These are the reasons for it. First, it makes students feel proud of their school and builds a common spirit of unity among students. It also can remind students of the value and history of their school. But students disagree. They think the colors are simple. They have boring designs and bad quality, they want to wear their own clothes. I think the school should improve the quality of the school uniforms.
