Welcome to Back to School Night 2016-2017 Room 10 Mrs. Pawlowski

Early dismissal should be before 2:00 due to specials. Late arrivals please be sure to sign in at the front desk.

Morning Snack Pretzels are sold daily 75 cents- account are not used to buy snacks. Must be sustainable- lunch is not until 1:10! Feel free to send a water bottle. Peanut and tree nut free classroom.

Lunch Please be sure to set up an account. Remember lunch consists of what is on the menu ($3.75) only - all other items are al a carte. Be sure to go over menu with your child. Lunch forms are not necessary in first grade. Please email sburt@williamsonhospitality.com with questions regarding lunch accounts.

Homework Homework will begin Monday September 26th. There is a language arts sheet and math sheet sent home daily (except Fridays). Sheets will be sent to and from school in take home folders. Homework should take approximately 30 minutes including reading. Students should read for 15 minutes each night. This can include being read aloud to.

Tests Students will take math, reading and spelling tests. Test folders will be sent home periodically- all work in folders should be reviewed, signed and returned to school please

Birthdays Invitations, thank you cards and presents should not be sent to school. A non food item (Pencil erasers etc.) may be sent in for a birthday or half birthday.

Book Clubs Scholastic book clubs will be sent home monthly. All ordering is completed online. https://clubs2.scholastic.com/ CODE: GY97H

Recess Students may bring small, soft Nerf type balls, or small toys that can fit in a gallon sized zip. These are the students own responsibility. Electronics and American girls are not allowed at recess. Snow boots are not needed for recess.

Math Explorations Check the weekly and website for upcoming sign ups! Sign ups are first come first serve! Opportunities to come into the class and work with small groups from 8:30-9:30.
