The Grading Policy Regular Honors Tests 40 % 50% Quizzes 25% 20% Homework 20% 15% Warm Ups/Binder 15% 10% Semester 1 Grade is calculated as follows: 1st and 2nd Qtr are each 40%. Final exam is 20%.

Due Dates, Late Work, Absent Work

Start with a routine of time and place to do work and a system to remember to turn it in NOW

Actually – Use Notes

Good News!!! You can retake each Unit test once!! What If I Bomb A Test? Good News!!! You can retake each Unit test once!! But only after you have completed Test Corrections and all your HW for that Unit is turned in! What are Test Corrections? On a separate paper, do each problem you missed correctly & show all work. Staple to the test and turn it when you retake the test. You must retake the test outside of class time- After school or at lunch. You must complete the re-take by the posted deadline. The score on your retake is the score you keep. More on this later

You complain about homework but when I give you time to work in class you just socialize

Stuff about Ms. Walls no one cares about but might be on a test someday…. This is my 15th year teaching: 1 year at Von Tobel MS , 10 years at Carson High School in Carson City, 3 year at Rancho HS. I was born and raised here (E. McWilliams was my street!). My Dad (’68), Aunt (’64) and BFF (’98) graduated from Rancho. My grandpa taught and coached at Rancho for about 20 years. I graduated from University of Nevada, Reno (GO PACK!). I have a Bachelors degree is in Math Education and a Masters Degree in School Counseling. I am married and we have 2 dogs and 3 cats and a beautiful little girl! I love singing but am terrible at it. Don’t worry. You’ll see.
