Adventure JUDGES 3:12-30 An unusual Daring experience

Answering God’s call upon your life in your time. Introduction: God’s workmanship (Eph. 2:10). Chosen to bear fruit, fruit should abide (Jn. 15:16). Answering God’s call upon your life in your time. * AL through the Bible, God uses different people to accomplish His will and achieve victory in different circumstances. Samson, purposely raised to deliver Israel from the Philistines’ oppression but failed. Othniel, Caleb’s younger brother, raised as a deliverer and he saved the people of God (Judges.3:9).

Points to consider All souls belongs to God(Ezek. 18:4). God is not partial(Rom.2:11). God does not take bribe(Deut. 10:17). d. God will give people in exchange for His people and even nations for their life (Is.43:3).

Background of the story. God’s people were caught in a cycle of repeated rebellious acts against God. Drifted away an d worship other gods Became slaves to Moabites Faced oppression by their enemy Paid tribute to Eglon(Moabites King) Later , they cried out to God after years of difficulties. Remember that God is a covenant keeping God (2Chro.7:14)’..if my people………

Lessons: Do not look at the deceit nor the violent but.. Ehud was from the last tribe of Israel(Benjamin) Ehud was specially commissioned by an impartial GOD. Ehud was bold and courageous He was provoked by the worshipping of images Ehud was brave and watchful He faithfully and successfully in serving God Land had peace for 80 years.

Some men God used in the past Moses had a disability and a past yet commissioned by God. Paul had a past but genuine repentance catapulted him to the top. Stephen, only 3yrs. Convert yet the first martyr for the faith. Jeremiah was young but useful for the work God is no respecter of persons(weak things to confound the strong , ..foolish….the wise ).

Imitating Ehud means taking the sword of the spirit and watch out for every open door to bring people to Christ. Be ready and willing to take a risky steps of faith by doing exploits for the Lord. Many are enslave by sin(worldwide..) DAVID was provoked into action by what he described as ‘..uncircumcised Philistine..’ despising God’s army. Do not let circumstances surrounding your birth, education, carrier, skills etc put you off by not seeking God’s call upon your life
