Conti di Buscareto Verdicchio is a white with intense white-flower bouquet, toasted almonds and fresh nectarines.  Barbara d'Asti superiors Tenuta Neirano is my choice of red, with intense black-fruit flavours jumping out of the glass ,wrapped in soft spices. VINO GAZETTE LWC introduces some great additions to the Healy and Gray Estate Family HEALY & GRAY ESTATE MERLOT RESERVE   This lovely Merlot Reserve is from Melozal in the Maule Region. The vineyard is planted on low rolling hills that have granitic clay soils and a greater presence of clay in the flatlands. Most of the new wine is held in stainless steel tanks, while 20% ages in 4th and 5th use oak barrels for 6 months until bottling. Intense purplish-red, fresh red and black fruits such as cherries, raspberries, and blueberries, with notes of white pepper and cedar. Medium bodied with good concentration of fruit and a pleasing finish. Very good with white cheeses, pastas with a rich red sauce, braised meats and stews. HEALY & GRAY ESTATE SAUVIGNON BLANC RESERVE   The grapes for this wine come from the Yerbas Buenas sector of the Andean foothills; these mountains generate a microclimate which enables the production of very fresh and highly aromatic grapes. The wine is held on its fine lees until bottling to preserve its freshness and increase creaminess and volume on the palate. Brilliant light greenish yellow, citrus notes and fruits such as green apples, white-fleshed peaches, and pears, harmoniously combined with wild flowers with an herbal touch. Fresh and fruity with tense acidity, balanced body, and a long finish. Great as an aperitif or with green salads or fish.
