Chistopol is a town in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, located on the left bank of the Kuibyshev Reservoir, on the Kama River. Its population is 66,500.

My small town Chistopol differs a little from other quiet provincial towns of Central Russia.Everything here is simple and quiet. It is very comfortable to live here. Most studends and young families dream to study and live in Chistopol . You can see a lot of landskapes and sightseeings , which usually draw crowds of tourists.

Chistopol was first mentioned in chronicles at the end of the 17th century It developed very quickly. At the end of the 19th century, Chistopol became a major center of trade for grain. Prior to 1917, it was the second largest town after Kazan. In 1781, a decree by Catherine the Great granted Chistopol the status of an uyezd town, with the establishment of its own coat of arms
