Recruitment – We determine who we put on the programme! What does being a SCITT mean? Recruitment – We determine who we put on the programme! Training – We develop, implement and quality assure all of the training on the programme! Accrediting and Awarding – We decide who should be awarded QTS and PGCE! Accountability – We hold all of the accountability for the trainees and training!

What is involved in being a SCITT? Recruit future teachers Develop and implement a teacher training programme Place the trainee teachers in our partner schools Monitor trainee teachers and the training provided Accredit and award trainee teachers QTS and PGCE (with The University of Chichester) Hampshire SCITT Partnership

Recruit future teachers As a partnership of schools we set the entry criteria, interview and offer places Staff in our partner schools will have the opportunity to be involved in recruitment process We control the quality of trainees that teach in our schools Recruit future teachers

Develop and implement a teacher training programme High quality training that we develop and evaluate year on year. We can ensure that what we believe is important is the basis of the training Staff in our schools have the opportunity to not only deliver on our ITT programme but also have a voice in the development of it High quality learning opportunities for our students and excellent CPD for staff in our partner schools Develop and implement a teacher training programme

Place the trainee teachers in our partner schools Each school can determine what subjects they would like trainees in based on recruitment as well and developmental needs (we can change the subjects annually) Trainees can be matched to schools more effectively, you can meet your trainees before they start! Trainees and schools (mentors) are well matched therefore ensuring that the training experience for all is positive Place the trainee teachers in our partner schools

Monitor trainee teachers and the training provided All partner schools play a major role in providing training on the programme (beyond the normal mentoring role) Staff in partnership schools have the opportunity to develop professionally by delivering on an ITT programme or being part of the QA process We determine the programme of training and quality assure all the training provided Monitor trainee teachers and the training provided

High quality staff for our schools Partner schools are promoted through the Hampshire LEARN SCITT Partnership Schools have access to high quality trainees that meet their recruitment needs High quality staff for our schools Accredit and award trainee teachers with QTS and PGCE (in conjunction with The University of Chichester)
