Earth Hour

Who create Earth Hour and that year? Earth Hour began in one city of a country on March 31, 2007, when 2.2 million people in Sydney, Australia turned off their lights for an hour to demand action on climate change. A year later, more than 370 cities in 35 countries turned this initiative into a global sustainability movement, getting that between 50 and 100 million people in lights out for Earth Hour 2008. Landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Rome's Colosseum, Times Square or the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro joined this call for climate action for an hour darkening.
