SPECIAL ELEMENTS IN FAIRY TALES Write and record your own fairy tale

Special beginnings and endings Once upon a time... …and they lived happily ever after. Sometimes, there’s a surprise ending

Good character What kind of charater would you like to create? Which would be his/her description? Examples of good characters in different stories

Three Little pigs and Cinderella

Evil character What would you like to add: a witch? A demon? An evil stepmother? A sinister gnome? In the end, the evil character usually loses somehow…

Royalty and Poverty Is there a castle? A prince? A princess? A king? A queen? Do you imagine a poor working girl, a poor family, a poor shepherd? Maybe poor people trying to eke out a living to have enough to eat?

Magic and enchantments Do you want magical things happening? Do you imagine talking animals/objects? You might see fairies, trolls, elves, goblins, etc.

Reoccurring patterns or numbers Are you going to use any patterns? 3 WISHES 3 LITTLE PIGS SEVEN DWARVES

Universal truths Your tale probably touches on some universal experiences: (i.e., coming of age) Hopes (i.e., to have enough food and love) Passing of time

STEPS TO FOLLOW: 1. Brainstorm Fairy Tales (In English) all together 2. Brainstorm vocabulary appearing in Fairy Tales, such as dwarf, witch, etc. 3. Now, in groups, decide about the elements you will have in your Fairy Tale 4. Write it. 5. Add sounds and dialogues (After the Storyteller) and record it. 6. In your blog you should have an entry with both the written and the recorded document.
