Psychology Major – Diagram version The following pages present a diagram of the Psychology major. The next page shows the courses in each of our five categories and the overall expected sequencing. The page after that zooms in on the core-advanced sections of the “overall” page. The major consists of 4 Foundation courses, 3 core, 2 labs from core courses (261 Lab and 332 Lab also count here), 3 advanced, 1 specialized (for non-thesis students), and a Senior Seminar or Senior Thesis. The Core=>Advanced page shows the permissible sequences. The prerequisites are on the core level and the advanced courses that can follow from each prerequisite are shown below, connected by an arrow. There are 8 of these sequences shown. The requirement is that you have 3 of these 8. The last page is an Appendix to show you the course title for each course number. This diagram is meant to be a guide only; talk with your advisor for guidance before registering for courses.
