Deepening of agrarian reform DCC Working Group on Agriculture and Land MTDS (GoT) priorities for the sector Deepening of agrarian reform Access of the agriculture enterprises to finance and credit resources Improve agriculture infrastructure and logistics Increase Food Security and improving nutrition; Improve Management of the agriculture sector and organizational structure of the MoA; Consolidation of Dehkan Farms; Improve taxation mechanism; Improve the level of agriculture mechanization and increase access to irrigation and land reclamation; Upgrade marketing and skills of the agr workers; Rational land and water resources  

Development Partners’ interventions / Donor’s support Support in implementation of the agrarian reform and establishment of ARS; Institutional restructuring of the MoA ( including review the system of SUEs); Analyses of the value chain of the products and support to eliminate/reduce the current problems; Support to the improvement agriculture production and product quality ; Improvement of Land legislation; Providing support to financing of agriculture through different lending projects; Various Sustainable Land Management (SLM) and Integrated Watershed Management (IWSM) models and approaches are elaborated and piloted and ready for scaling up and replication in other parts of the country.

What is missing? But is important for the sector development What is missing (that DPs already doing); Improve Food Safety; Improve inputs Market development (seeds, agricultural machinery, pesticides and fertilizers, postharvest equipment, etc.); Eliminating of Export barriers ( custom fee, etc,); Developing the Agriculture related policies along the whole value chain (trade, processing, agricultural production), and in this sense these functions (development of policies) have to attributed to one Ministry (usually Ministry of Agriculture). New actions/interventions planned by DPs Establishment of Agrarian Reform Secretariat; Strengthening and expanding of the Agricultural Extension system and knowledge transfer in whole value chain; Linking agriculture and climate change adaptation/Climate Smart Agriculture

Priority areas / Results to be achieved by 2020 Implementation of the agrarian reform supported ; Institutional restructuring of the MoA ( including review the system of SUEs) implemented; A system of incentives to support investments in agriculture designed and established Agriculture extension established/strengthened Agribusiness services along value chains established/strengthened Agriculture insurance functioning Curricula of the Tajik Agrarian University improved
