“What to Expect on Concert Day” Visual Support Board

Welcome to the McCoy Center!

After you purchase tickets or stop at WILL CALL to pick up tickets, you will walk down this hallway to the auditorium. Bathrooms are located on the right at the end of the hallway. WILL CALL

If you would like to try an instrument or make a craft, you can do this in the lobby before you go to your seat in the concert hall.

You will enter the concert hall through these doors You will enter the concert hall through these doors. An usher will take your ticket and show you to your seat.

When you enter the hall, you can choose to sit upstairs or downstairs. If you choose to sit upstairs, you can get there by going up either set of stairs to the left or right of the entrance to the hall, or by the elevator located right behind the stairs in this photo.

The concert will start at 11:30 a. m The concert will start at 11:30 a.m. The orchestra’s Executive Director, Heather Garner and WOSU’s Christopher Purdy will welcome everyone, and then the Concertmaster will enter the stage to tune the orchestra. You can clap for her and she will take a bow.

Today’s concert is all about WATER! The performance will include the following pieces: “Handel’s Water Music” “The Blue Danube Waltz” “Tan Dun Concerto for Percussion and Water

When a piece is over, you can clap to let the musicians know how much you liked it…and if you are taking a little nap or in the lobby making a craft, that is ok too!

The concert will last 45 minutes The concert will last 45 minutes. If you need to stand up and move around – you can! If you need to take a break in the lobby – you can! Thank you for coming to our concert. We hope to see you again soon!
