The aim of this proof of concept is to present Environment Canterbury’s rates and budget data in an easy to use format to provide transparency for rate payers

As a rate payer I can: View by Projects or Map View Projects by Portfolio View Projects by Programme within a Portfolio View count of projects by geographic area View the breakdown of funds collected (Targeted, General, Grants and Other) By Portfolio By Programme By Project By Geographic Area (within a programme) Search for my address and View different Geographic boundaries I reside within View the breakdown of different projects my rates are funding

As an Environment Canterbury administrator I will be able to: Upload a CSV to the system with an year to update the values in the database Upload Images by portfolio Write a story for Portfolio and Programme level Application is able to cope with the above, but the functionality will be developed as part of production

User Interface and Design This application was designed keeping the rate payer in mind as the end user. The application is split in to two views : Map View and Projects View Each view encompasses three sections: Story Section This section will illustrate the story with respect to each portfolio and programme based on the navigation section. Navigation Section This section will allow users to interact with the different projects and geographic areas to view the breakdown on the information section. Information Section This section provides the breakdown and detailed information about projects and geographic areas.
