Good Morning and Welcome to the Brentwood 2015 CalcuSolve Competition! We hope you have a challenging and successful day! While we are waiting for all the teams to arrive, please: 1. Sit at the table to which you were assigned. 2. Make a nametag. Include your first and last name, school name, and team letter on the tag. Please wear the nametag during the entire competition. 3. Each person on your team should take one stapled packet of individual answer sheets and complete all the information on EVERY sheet. Print neatly! Your team letter is displayed on the sign at your table. 4. Begin to practice for the competition by working on the Math Brain Warm-ups that are in your folder. We will go over the answers just before we begin the actual competition. 5. Individual Question – Round # 7 Solution Lucy’s parents came home at 10:30 PM. From 3:30 to 4:00, Lucy would earn $5. From 4:00 to 8:00, Lucy would earn 4 X $10 or $40. She earns a total of $45 babysitting from 3:30 – 8:00. Subtract $45 from $62.50 and you get $17.50. Lucy earned $17.50 babysitting after 8:00. She would earn $14 babysitting from 8:00 – 10:00.
