SENIORS 8:35 – Seniors report to the PAC **Seniors who are taking the ASVAB will report to the Library Limit of 60 and must have pre-registered) 8:40-9:25 – Guest speaker from UNT – “Paying for College” 9:30-9:55 – Seniors report to homeroom for the day for attendance and various activities. (lists to be posted soon) 10-11:50 – Breakout sessions over topics such as Apply Texas, FAFSA, Naviance, Essay writing, Scholarships, ACT, Community College, etc. 11:55-12:25 – Lunch 12:30-1:10 – Senior Fun at EHS Stadium 1:15-1:30 – Report back to homeroom for attendance 1:35 – 6th period **Schedule subject to change!

FRESHMEN Freshmen will report to their assigned classroom at 8:40 a.m. We will post your classroom assignment near Java City and at the 2nd & 3rd floor AP offices – (Oct. 10). You will complete an hour-long lesson in: English Social Studies Math Science For each subject, write your teacher’s name on the assignment. The work you do will be used/graded in class. All freshmen will attend THIRD LUNCH Oct. 11

Where Do I Report to? Classroom assignments will be posted near Java City and at the 2nd & 3rd floor AP offices on ( 10/10/17 ) for 9th, 10th & 11th grade students. Seniors will report to the PAC.

ON PSAT TEST DAY All student belongings will be placed in the front of the testing room. Students will not be allowed to have cell phones, water bottles or any other items in the testing room. NO CELL PHONES – No Electronic Devices Eat a good breakfast.

Components Critical Reading Writing Mathematics

Reading Test 10th-11th Graders = 60 Minutes & 47 Questions Quick Facts All Reading Test questions are multiple choice and based on passages. Some passages are paired with other passages. Informational graphics, such as tables, graphs, and charts, accompany some passages — but no math is required. Prior topic-specific knowledge is never tested. The Reading Test is part of the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section.

Writing and Language Test 10th-11th Graders = 35 Minutes & 44 Questions Quick Facts All questions are multiple choice and based on passages. Some passages are accompanied by informational graphics, such as tables, graphs, and charts — but no math is required. Prior topic knowledge is never tested. The Writing and Language Test is part of the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section.

Math Test 10th-11th Graders = 70 Minutes & 48 Questions Most math questions will be multiple choice, but some — called grid-ins — ask you to come up with the answer rather than select the answer. The Math Test is divided into two portions: Math Test – Calculator and Math Test – No Calculator. Some parts of the test include several questions about a single scenario.

No Penalty for Guessing On the new PSAT/NMSQT you simply earn points for the questions you answer correctly. So go ahead and give your best answer to every question — there’s no advantage to leaving them blank.
