Where do Aedes mosquitoes bite & rest? Outdoor Aedes albopictus prefers to bite outdoor rests outdoors among shrubs and vegetations. Indoor Aedes aegypti prefers to bite indoor and rest among hanging clothes, underneath furniture & closets.

How high can the Aedes mosquitoes reach when flying up? They are able to reach as high as the roof gutter to lay their eggs.

Potential Mosquito breeding sites Where does the Aedes mosquito breed? Potential Mosquito breeding sites Lay their eggs in (clean) clear, stagnant water Aedes aegypti – artificial containers (drums, tires, tin cans) Aedes albopictus – natural containers (plant axils, tree holes) However, based on current vector surveys both species can co-exist with each other.

It is important to look for the mosquito breeding sites inside and outside the house, in the school, or in the workplace.
