Fourth grade Field trip to Austin Parent Meeting

Program The program is Education in Action's 'Proud to be Texan'. This exciting program will give your students the opportunity to experience the spirit of Texas while visiting the Ranger Museum (in Waco-first stop), Star of Destiny Theatre, the Bullock Texas State History Museum, and the Texas State Capitol. Through completion of activities in the 'Proud to be Texan' journal, students exercise reading and writing skills needed for the fourth grade STAAR test. After the program, teachers may reference student experiences, including activities in the journal, to supplement teaching social studies in the classroom.

Three parent names from each 4th grade class will be drawn. Your name will be placed in a lottery drawing and we will notify you by the end of October if you were selected.

Chaperone Training We will have a trainer from Education in Action come train chaperones on April 3rd. The training will start at 3:30 pm. We will let you know if you are one of our chaperones, so you can make plans to attend the training here at Hackberry Elementary.
