Microsoft System Center Usage of System Center servers has been increasing over the last three years System Center 2012 R2 greatly increased consumption, and pricing Original SCCM deal made it difficult to remain in compliance SCOM, DPM, and similar items were not included System Center became a single suite in 2012 Value of SCCM was depreciated as additional hooks into other System Center products were needed

Microsoft System Center OSU Purchasing renegotiated to include the following items, and extend the same deal to the IUC: System Center Configuration Manager System Center Endpoint Protection System Center Operations Manager System Center Data Protection Manager System Center Service Manager System Center Virtual Machine Manager System Center Orchestrator And all System Center Machine Licenses -Red items are new on our license

Microsoft Select Agreement OSU’s Microsoft Select Agreement renewed on 6/30/2016 Insight will remain our reseller at this time. Insight has also indicated that they can and will co-term our license to match the new contract term We will move from Select to Select Plus. MSDN and Software Assurance can be renewed now There may be a short delay in availability due to contract issues on Insight’s end

Microsoft Surfaces at Tech Hub OSU Purchasing has found a way to make Surfaces available at Tech Hub Pricing is discounted under CDWG pricing Departmental and personal use is available Surfaces come with the Education Bundle (comes with keyboard) Models include: Surface Pro 4 (base and upgrade) Surface Book Surface 3 We will turn off eStores access to purchasing Surfaces through other vendors

Adobe CLP Agreement Update OSU Purchasing has attempted to renew our CLP agreement This agreements permits purchase of items not on our Creative Cloud ETLA OSU is unable to sign as-is Adobe has not responded to some requests for comment We continue to request updates from Adobe Hopefully, we can resolve this shortly after the July 4 holiday

Autodesk At request of Engineering, we have found some ways to resolve Autodesk issues for teaching and research The Master Education Suite is no longer available Replaced with smaller suites designed to match functional needs Cost is free, but licensing is somewhat complicated by the manner in which codes are provided and software is distributed Software and codes have to come from a central authority in the university

Autodesk OSU Purchasing will be working to find a way to distribute Autodesk to the teaching and research community This may involve downloading individual packages as needed Model is likely to be similar to the Adobe Creative Cloud process (available to SLSC’s only for now) Network license creation may be limited to one person at an institution There is no centralized process for facilities copies at this time

Qualtrics There are now four Brand Administrators for Qualtrics across the university You can contact them at qualtricsbrandadmins@osu.edu We expect to add one more (for MedCenter) soon. Division Administrators are being set up and receiving training CITI Human Subjects training and Institutional Data Policy training will be required for Division Admins
