Description of solar energy Solar energy is an alternative energy source to fossil fuels. People use scientific thinking processing to conduct investigations and observing like communicating, comparing organizing, and relating. Also solar energy is a renewable recourse.

Some History of solar energy The Greeks and Romans used solar energy to heat buildings and water. The Greeks and Romans worked together to create solar energy over 2000 years ago. In the1700 Antoine Lavoisier built a solar heater that could melt platinum. in 1839 a French physicist named Edmond Becquerel found that a certain material that would produce a small amount of electric current when it was exposed to light.

More solar energy history Using the power of the sun for heat and light is one of mankind's oldest technology pursuits. The Native Americans in southwestern Colorado designed their cliff dwellings so they would catch the warm rays of the sun in the winter and take advantage of the hill's cool shadows during the summer .

Where was solar energy founded and when it was recovered Solar energy was founded in 1981 in Oregon to `Promote the use of solar energy. Also solar energy was recovered by solar panels in Ireland.

How solar energy was stored It was stored in battery tanks of hot water and graphite. Solar energy was released when the hot water turns cold so it kind of squeezes out little at the top when you turn the valve and it releases the pressure.

How solar energy is used today People use solar energy with calculators, plants, light, batteries like that charges that you don’t have to use a lot of light at night with flash lights. Also you could have solar energy in cars that makes the car have time and lights that connects signal switch that tells the other people know that you are going to turn into a different lane.

Solar advantages and disadvantages Inexhaustible fuel source No pollution Often an excellent supplement to other renewable sources Versatile is used for powering items as diverse as solar cars and satellites Disadvantages: Very diffuse source means low energy production-- large numbers of solar panels are required to produce useful amounts of heat or electricity Only areas of the world with lots of sunlight are suitable for solar power generation

Solar panels A solar panel is a way to make use of renewable energy from the sun, solar panels are clean and a environmental way of getting energy. Solar buildings typically have a large solar panel facing south for maximum heat and light. These massive solar heating feature double as lightning source, allowing natural light into hidden places through the south facing solar panels.
