God and My Worship The Christian life brings many changes: We seek to worship God. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (Jn. 4:23-24) God and My Worship

God and My Worship The Christian life brings many changes: We seek to worship God. It is what the Christian wants to do! God and My Worship

Calling on His Name Sing Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs Giving Confession, Receiving Pardon, Obtaining Assurance of that pardon Prayers Hearing His Word proclaimed Offerings of tithes & gifts Faithful observance of His ordinances The benediction of His blessing

Worshipping on the Lord’s Day Worshipping God in the morning: O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.(Psalm 5:3 ESV) Worshipping God in the evening: Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who stand by night in the house of the LORD!(Psalm 134:1 ESV) Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!(Psalm 141:2 ESV) Worshipping on the Lord’s Day

Remember the Sabbath Day and Keep it holy. “If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the LORD honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly; then you shall take delight in the LORD, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” (Isaiah 58:13-14 ESV) Remember the Sabbath Day and Keep it holy.

The Christian life brings many changes: We seek to worship God. It is what the Christian wants to do! We practice a renewed way of life. We are given the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:19-23)

[T]he works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. … But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; … If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. (Gal. 5:19-26, ESV)

The Christian life brings many changes: We seek to worship God. It is what the Christian wants to do! We practice a renewed way of life. We are given the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:19-23) Even as we now understand our new and constant struggle, recognizing God’s equipping us for battle and for the building of the Kingdom of God.

The Christian life brings many changes: We seek to worship God. It is what the Christian wants to do! We practice a renewed way of life. We seek out the kindred spirit of other Christians for fellowship for labor together for the gospel - koinonia
