Annual Program Survey Summary Findings 85 Programs accredited Newly enrolled students 2014 – 2 524 2015 – 2,643 Total applications 2014 – 7,752 2015 – 8,720 Job placement rate: 2014 – 92% 2015 - 94% Professional starting salaries: $63,133

Accreditation Criteria most troublesome to programs 1.A.1 – Mission related 3.A.1 – Competency model related 3.C.3 – Assessment related Improvement in 2015 Reduction in issues related to 1.A.1 and 3.A.1 Continuing problems with 3.C.3 Bootcamp – June 2016 Focus has been on 1.A.1 and 3.A.1 Focus to be increased on 3.C.3

New Initiative: Awards Program Mission: To recognize excellence in graduate healthcare management education within CAHME accredited programs in partnership with other health-sector organizations. National Council on Administrative Fellowships Membership has grown over 20% 33 CAHME graduate programs 55 health system members Recent activities Implemented uniform application and offer dates in 2015 Revised the “Code of Good Practice” for 2016 Implemented surveys to assess student experiences with the new system Preparing the new centralized application service (NAFCAS) for use in the 2016 cycle

Accreditation Criteria Review Policy: Full criteria review every 4 years Review is being done by: CAHME accredited Programs Program Directors At least one additional faculty member in each program Employer stakeholders Last review established the 2013 Criteria

Criteria Review Schedule (2016) Jan – Feb Standards Council prepares and distributes survey instrument Mar – Apr Respondents complete survey Survey sent to employer stakeholders Initial analysis of responses Standards Council meeting May – June Complete draft analysis of responses Discussion at AUPHA Annual Meeting for early feedback

Criteria Review Schedule (2016) July – August Standards Council prepares first draft of change recommendations First draft to CAHME accredited programs for review September Responses from Academic programs October Standards Council prepares second draft of change recommendations Accreditation Council reviews and comments November Standards Council finalizes recommendations and presents to Board of Directors
