Finding a veterinarian in California A good place to start is by going to the veterinary medical board, choosing consumers, choosing license verification or… use the link below https://www.breeze.ca.gov/datamart/selSearchTypeCADCA.do?from=loginPage
Here is what the screen should look like Here is what the screen should look like. You choose to search by city or county
The next screen, shown below is where you need to choose what license type they are selecting for- you want to go for the last choice on the list- veterinary medical board- clicking on the little down arrow at the end of the box for board produces the list- note that the other box allows you to choose a type of license. I would suggest Veterinarian or Veterinary premise (a clinic that could have several doctors working there)
In this case I had chosen county as my search choice a couple screens back- again clicking the little down arrow at the end of the county box they can choose a county. I would suggest they expand on the number of records to display.
Currently their system has a little problem in that some people are being duplicated. I arbitrarily chose Humboldt county. Note one big drawback doing it this way is you don’t know what kind of practice the person does- so you might have to compare this with other information like talking to others who know vets, looking them up on-line, etc.
