Bridging Project: Innovation Challenge Design Brief You has been employed by a government agency to design a shelter concept that can be used to support countries that are effected by natural disasters, such as, floods, earthquakes etc. The shelter must be; Lightweight Ease to use Use sustainable materials Multi functional Task 1 Use the Internet to research a wide range of existing shelters. TOP TIP: Don’t just research emergency shelter. Ensure you consider similar products and structure, such as, tents, bus shelters etc. Task 2 Using free-hand sketching create a wide range of initial designs (minimum of 6). Include colour and detailed annotation. TOP TIP: Use your ACCESS FM headings to ensure your annotation is accurate. Task 3 Create a detailed ‘final design’ of your chosen idea. Ensure you include detailed sketches of how the structure would be constructed, the chosen materials, how it would be transported and the ease of use. TOP TIP: Don’t be afraid to incorporate current technologies, materials and construction methods. This product has to be FEASIBLE! NB: Present your findings on a short PowerPoint presentation. Submission date: Fri 8th September
