An example would be The Final Destination, a 2009 horror-drama movie which was given the rating of 15 for strong gore, sex and language, the BBFC Insight said “THE FINAL DESTINATION was passed ‘15’ for strong gore, sex and language. Not much horror movies are given the 12A/12 rating due to most horror movies containing very strong gory images and language. The Woman in Black is an example of a horror movie which was given a 12A rating at the cinema, was given a 12 on DVD with a 15 rated edition due to its supernatural threat and scenes which were cut. There are a number of scenes of supernatural horror and threat in which the ghost of the 'woman in black', as well as the ghosts of her victims, appear to and threaten the central character and others. While this threat is generally moderate, with more intense scenes broken up by other material and by a number of quieter periods in between the more frightening sequences, the sequence from ANGEL OF DEATH features strong and sustained threat.
