NSSLHA’S MISSION The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional membership association that exists to benefit its members by continually improving the support, promotion, and advocacy of the highest quality preparation in audiology, speech-language pathology, and speech and hearing science.

Pre-Professional Development: Guidelines I. Students shall hold paramount the welfare of persons served during clinical practicum. II. Students shall maintain high standards of professional competence III. Students’ statements to persons served and to the public shall provide accurate information about the nature and management of speech-language and hearing disorders, and about the professions and services rendered by its practitioners.

SEMESTER GOALS Secure funding for conference Grant proposal Fall Fundraising events: Woodstock’s, Jamba Juice, etc. Participate in monthly events & meetings Elect Junior Representatives & T-shirt design
NSSLHA LOVES A community service initiative sponsored by NSSLHA. All donations go to the selected organization. This year’s recipient: CommunicAID+Nation (CA+N) to promote and provide speech-language resources for individuals with communication disorders Fundraising goal: $500 Deadline: June 30, 2017
JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES Junior representatives serve as liaisons between the senior and junior classes Communicate club event reminders to junior class Can gather input from junior NSSLHA members If you would like to become more involved, tell us why you would be a great representative for your class! A follow up email with further details will be sent with a specific candidate prompt Elections will be Tuesday, October 4TH!
