Nutritional Values of Healthy Smoothies Presentation By: Zenerjii

Sipping some lip-smacking healthy drinks is a pleasure and matter of exotic experience. Not only healthy drinks give a delicious taste at the same time they also provide extreme nutritional content in the body that keeps the body healthy.

Health Aspect of Smoothie It won’t be only a dining quotient to know the nutritional value of healthy fruit drinks and smoothies, it will also be very spiritual to understand the facts that nourishes our body which is the spiritual object.

Facts of Smoothie Smoothies are prepared by adding various flavored juices and frozen fruits and other ingredient such as yoghurt, peanut butter and sherbet. Smoothies contain contains various vitamins, minerals, nutrients and antioxidants that keeps the body, mind and spirit balanced. Add on ingredients, such as soy protein and whey protein, are essential in building muscles.  Adding herbs, creatine and grape seed extracts will make the smoothie healthier.

Caloric Value Caloric value in smoothies’ basically depends on the ingredients and the amount of carbohydrates. Generally a 24-Oz smoothie contains 300 to 400 calories with a minimal 5gm of protein and fat. A berry and beat smoothie with yoghurt contains approximately 220 calories.

Vitamins and Minerals Some fruits contain a high amount of vitamin C, potassium and folate. Grapefruit, lemon and orange fall in this category. Vitamin C helps increase immune systems. Many tropical fruits such as mango and papaya contain potassium and manganese, which help nerves system functioning smoothly. Cherries, peaches and plums contain beta carotene and potassium which helps in keeping the vision and immune system healthy.

Fiber Drinking smoothies will full fill the need of fiber that the human body needs. According to the medical science a man needs 38g of fiber while a woman needs 35g. You can choose fruits as apple, pears and blackberries which contain the highest amount of fiber. Intake of sufficient amount of fiber helps in digestion, controls blood sugar and cholesterol level.
