Summarize means to retell the most important information, briefly. For example, if I say: “I have a sister. Her name is Jessica and she lives in Canada. She is 28 years old and she works as a nurse”. You could say “Matt has a 28 year old sister in Canada and she is a nurse”. Same information, but more briefly.

For example, if I say “I like pizza”, you cannot say “Matt says I like pizza”. Do you like pizza? Maybe, but here you must change “I” to “he”. “Matt says he likes pizza”; this is called reporting. You report when you say what someone else tells you. Like on T.V. news.

You don’t have to write the answers completely, you can just write the most important information. For example, if someone says: “My family and I went to Japan for our summer vacation”, you can just write “Japan”. You must have 3 different types of questions.
