HOW TO MAKE SENSE OF MULTPLE SOURCES OF DATA STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS Susan M. Koceski www.oakland.k12.mi.us

HOW TO MAKE SENSE OF MULTPLE SOURCES OF DATA STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS Make sure you have all of your sources of data available (DIBELS, MLPP, Teacher observations/input, scope and sequence of curriculum). 2. Use a graphic organizer (an example as been provided) as it will help your team, be much more focused and efficient. 3. Rank order students from lowest score (highest risk). 4. Calculate class averages for all assessments and list in box. On DIBELS Measures, the mean for each measure is on the Class List Local norms and expectations for student performance will have to be determined at each individual site. www.oakland.k12.mi.us

HOW TO MAKE SENSE OF MULTPLE SOURCES OF DATA STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS Discussion Questions Look at the performance of the lowest students. What do they have in common? Do they have needs in multiple instructional areas? Begin to form flexible groups of students with like instructional needs. How can the building resources support the general education teacher in meeting the needs of these students? www.oakland.k12.mi.us
