World War II Introduction

Why is it Important? Millions Killed 50 million to 70 million people died 40,000 men served on German U-Boats (submarines) during the war and a huge 30,000 never returned Between the period of 6th June 1944 to 8th May 1945 in Europe the Allies (U.S., Germany) had 200,000 dead and 550,000 wounded During the Holocaust in Germany, over 6 million Jews were killed – 1 million of them babies
