Redemption: Research Assignment and Presentation By: Skylar Mc, max, and Thanos

1. What does it mean to redeem something? To redeem something is to pay for it in order to either restore it to it’s proper owner or to pay for something to make it yours.

2. A Judges 13-16 God reveals himself in this situation by giving Samson’s mother a child when she wasn’t able to have kids. He also shows himself when he gives Samson his strength through his hair. God is himself here. God gives Samson amazing strength.

2. B The characters in this story are: Samson, Delilah, Samson’s mom, Samson’s dad, and the Philistines. Samson’s parents responded well to God’s message that they would have a kid. But everyone else (except Samson) denied God.

2. C This foreshadows how like Samson was humiliated by the philistines and then put up in mocking celebration over the defeat of him and also how they thought that they had defeated him even though his last act did more of a blow to them than anything he had done before. In the same way, Jesus was put up on the cross and crucified, but he did more in his death than anything he had done in his life by canceling sins judgement.
