Safety Practices PE.912.c2.25- Analyze and evaluate the risks, safety procedures, rules, and equipment associated with specific course activities. Volleyball injuries and possible risks: Sprained ankle, shin splints, and broken or jammed fingers Safety procedures: Do not go under the net, call for the ball, Do not reach over the net or touch the net, Jump off of and land on two feet, serve behind the end line Students can demonstrate appropriate safety practices related to volleyball.

Safety Practices PE.912.m.1.35 – Select proper equipment and apply all appropriate safety procedures necessary for participation. Equipment: Indoor Volleyball, Court is 30 feet wide X60 feet length, kneepads, net (7’4 Women’s, or 7’11 Men’s & Coed), standards(poles), and pads for standards. Students can demonstrate appropriate safety practices related to volleyball.

Safety Practices PE.912.r.5.5- Demonstrate appropriate Etiquette, care of equipment, respect for facilities and safe behaviors while participating in a variety of physical activities. Do not pull on the net! Use the leather Volleyballs Inside only! Beach volleyball are used for outdoor volleyball. Do not kick the volleyballs, but instead role the ball under the net.
