Our international team of young people explored This 10-day youth exchange brought together 70 young people and youth peer leaders from UK, Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, and Bulgaria in Rudiskes, Lithuania. Our international team of young people explored what does it mean to be a sports volunteer in different European countries

We have proved that non-formal education can be effective and fun We have proved that non-formal education can be effective and fun! We have gone through the workshops on intercultural communication, had a cup of tea in "Volunteering Café" and took the leading roles in "Forum Theatre" plays, discovered the wonderful features of Lithuanian history and traditions and became one cohesive European team.

The project was based on peer-to-peer education and learning from own experience. Non-formal and informal learning activities from SALTO RC empowered us with the basic set of key competencies for lifelong learning.

Intercultural learning aspect was fueled by daily energizers, intercultural sessions and, of course, intercultural evenings with traditional music, food and games.

Although it was cold enough outside, the "Open Space" method preheated our interest towards the real community actions. So we decided to make our own non-competitive Olympic Games and engage local youth in it! Why non-competitive? It's quite simple: no winners or losers, only fun, social cohesion and mutual learning.

Non-competitive sports in action

Action and reflection during this project went hand in hand Action and reflection during this project went hand in hand. We reflected on their daily experience through specific SALTO exercises. At the end of the exchange, we have matched project experience with the framework of Youthpass key competencies.

Move to learn - learn to move! To infinity ... and beyond! This project inspired us to continue our sports volunteering journey with Erasmus+. Join us in the further projects and become part of our European team! Move to learn - learn to move!
