Their freight boat was intercepted by the British Navy 5. Imprisoned in a detention camp called Atlit near Haifa, Palestine 6. After 2 months he was freed by the Hagannah, the Jewish Underground in Israel 7. In Dec. 1945 he joined the Hagannah and went through Military Training 8.
