Video with lyrics Fight song

What Do you Picture when listening to this song? Why? When I Listen to the song, I think of a girl standing on top of a boat in the ocean with wind blowing through her hair. The lyrics I picture are in the first stanza, “Like a small boat, on the ocean, Sending big waves into motion.” These lyrics easily paint a picture in my mind of a little boat, surrounded by an endless sea.

What are your favourite lyrics? Why? My favourite lyrics are in the chorus of the song. “This is my fight song, Take back my life song, prove I’m alright song.” I like these lyrics because it shows that she is getting back on her feet, and proving that she will be okay, and go back to where she wants to be. These lyrics inspire me if I ever was in any trouble, to fight for myself, and be okay in the end.

Who do you think the song is talking about? When I hear this song, I think something bad happened to this girl, and she is going to go through whatever it takes to get her life back, and to succeed with what ever challenges might come next. She is finally trying to speak out and make a difference.

Are there any Similes or metaphors on this song? What do they mean? (Like a small boat, on the ocean, sending big waves, into motion) This is a simile, using the word “like” to compare Two different things. I think that this may symbolize how something small, can create a big impact in the world. (I might only have one match, but I can make an explosion) This metaphor compares one tiny match, that can make an explosion. Again, she is conveying that one tiny action, can cause a big impact in the world, if we would only get up and do it.

Why do you like this song? I like this song because, I think that this song speaks a really powerful message to those who listen to it. It is telling you to be brave and stand up for yourself. Only a single action, can change your life. I also like the chorus of this song. (this is my fight song, take back my life song, prove I’m alright song) I think that these lyrics tell you to stand up and fight for what you believe in.

Theme and message to this song The message in the song “fight song” is to stand up for yourself, and fight for what you believe in. as Rachel platten sings this song, she makes metaphors and similes related to the fact that, something small, can make a big impact on the world behind you. When you have that voice to speak up, you can change a lot of things and leave a legacy behind you. THIS SONG IS SAYING TO BE BRAVE AND FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU BELEIVING. THERE IS NO USE CHASING SLEEP OVER SOMETHING, IF YOU CAN JUST STAND UP FOR YOURSELF AND GO WITH WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN
