Christmas in Canada A Winter Wonderland!

It was just the Beginning… After the Fall Semester came to an end at the University of Florida, I was headed to South Carolina with my boyfriend, Jon.

We were on our way to meet up with my parents and sister for our 7 day trip to Banff, Canada.

Day 1

After a long day of flying we finally arrived in Calgary.

Once we arrived at our hotel we checked-in and settled into our rooms.

Soon after we went to sleep, knowing that we had a long day of shopping and travelling ahead of us.

Day 2

As soon as morning came, we were raring to go.

We went to a Mall and found some snowboarding pants for Jon as well as finished up all the Christmas shopping as it was already Christmas Eve.

Once we had bought all we needed we were on our way to Banff National Park.

Day 2 continued…

Once we reached our hotel, The Fairmont Banff Springs, we received some hot coco to warm ourselves up from the -20˚C weather outside.

We spent the rest of the evening relaxing and admiring the beautiful landscape.

Day 3

It was Christmas day and we all got up and went to my parents room to open our stockings.

After opening our stockings we headed out on a walk through the woods.

After our walk we decided to hang out in the hotel until the evening, when we had the traditional Christmas dinner.

Day 4

My sister, Jon and I had decided today was the day for snowboarding.

My parents drove us to Sunshine Village where we rented our boards and boots and bought our lift passes.

We spent the entire day trying to remember how to snowboard again and attempted to teach Jon.

Days 5-8

We spent the next few days snowboarding.

Day 9

New Years Eve was upon us and we had decided to spend the day visiting Lake Louise and ice skating.

Later in the evening we went to dinner at a fondue restaurant in the Banff Springs Hotel.

For the New Year’s countdown we went to a party within the hotel.

Day 10

On our last day in Banff we decided to play a few games of Canadian Bowling.

Day 11

Today we spent driving back to Calgary and in the evening we went to see the movie Four Christmases.

Day 12

We woke up early and went to the airport to catch our plane back home.

The trip was over and now we were home.

We can’t wait until next year!
