Introduction to AS200

Course Objectives Know the key terms and definitions used to describe airpower. Comprehend the events, leaders, and technical developments which surrounded the evolution of airpower Demonstrate basic verbal and written communication skills. Comprehend the Air Force Core Values and examples of their use throughout the evolution of airpower.

Course Overview Concepts Air Force Doctrine Principles of War Tenets of Air and Space Power Air Force Operations Air Force Missions Evolution of Air Power

Rules of Engagement (ROE) Come prepared for class Drinks allowed in classroom; food not allowed Classroom is non-attribution environment Military customs and courtesies at all times Class called to attention at beginning/end of class Address each other as “Cadet _____” Special students address as “Mr.___” or “Ms.____” For visitors/guests, don’t call class to attention

ROEs (cont’d) 80% minimum attendance for passing final grade Wear military uniform for classes/LLAB Be on time for class Late when the door closes If late, enter quietly and be seated; see me after If absent from class, then PRIOR to next class, submit an memorandum for record (MFR)
